Service Description

Songwriting sparks creativity, provides a healthy outlet for emotional expression, can be cathartic and therapeutic, and helps build self confidence for students of all ages. No experience needed! The group will collaborate by learning songwriting basics such as melodies, harmonies, chord progressions, lyrics, arrangement, and overall song structure. We will spend time exploring other compositions as a framework and write songs from the ground up, or refine prewritten ideas. There are no rules, but we sometimes follow a verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-chorus structure, and even analyze and write in a non-traditional “Bohemian Rhapsody” format. You choose your own adventure; we will rock you!
