Service Description

Family Wellness Studio is pleased to partner with the City of El Segundo Parks and Recs to provide quality after school enrichment for children from transitional kindergarten to fifth grades (TK-5th). A holistic approach to after school care has been designed using mindfulness to provide a nurturing environment. Our unique program consists of both unstructured playtime and structured enrichment classes that change each day of the week and biannually. Additionally, the weekly schedule consists of seasonal art projects, general arts and crafts, teacher-led games and sports, gardening, and homework assistance. We pride ourselves on helping your child thrive as they socialize in a fun and safe environment, bolstering their social-emotional learning and conflict resolution skills. During the school year, Family Wellness Studio provides these services after school for elementary students. We also provide services during some school holidays and in-service days. A typical day with FWS after school enrichment includes group activities; homework assistance, individual and group play, games, enrichments; staggered playground time. Daily enrichment varies with the age group, duration of the day, and the teacher leading the class but can include gymnastics, parkour, Spanish, mindfulness + yoga, storytime + crafts, drama/theater class, soccer, music and more! SCHOOL CALENDAR Family Wellness Studio follows the El Segundo Unified School District Calendar located on the district website. We will provide a separate schedule for our program days and hours of service as we also provide services during winter and spring breaks. Summer camp options are also available to our students.
